Red vs. Blue (Halo Shot)
Served at Mana Bar, this shot consists of blue curacao layered on top of Dekuyper Sour Grapefruit and raspberry cordial.  Sarge would be proud.

Fat Man (Fallout 3 Cocktail)

Ingredients:
3/4 shot Spiced Rum
1/4 shot Cinnamon Whiskey
1 shot Vanilla Vodka
6 shots Dr. Pepper 

Directions: Pour the Dr. Pepper in a highball glass and mix in the shot of vanilla vodka.  Pour the spiced rum and cinnamon whiskey into a shot glass.  Make sure bystanders are out of blast radius and deploy the fat man (er, drop the shot into the highball glass).  Consume and make sure to find some Rad Away, quick!  Speaking of Rad Away, you might be able to find a homemade recipe on this site soon…

Halo Themed Cocktails at E3

Last night, Bungie held a Halo: Reach event at E3, in which Halo themed cocktails were served.  Here is the menu, straight from Bungie’s Twitter.  Thanks for the tip, Joaquin.

This is the only time I wouldn’t mind taking a plasma grenade straight to the face.

Halo Drinking Game

Although you may never be able to frag online again in Halo 2 (R.I.P.), the Halo Reach beta just started today!  If you’re not fortunate enough to have a copy of ODST or a beta code, Halo 3 is always still a great option.  Reader Alex (who’s Halo name is “Sir Douche”) has submitted the rules to a Halo drinking game that he and his friends play.

Setup:

-Customize a Slayer game however you want (we use 2 random weapons, or rocket launchers), the only thing you need to set a certain way is the respawn time. Set deaths to 5 seconds, and suicides to 10+ seconds.
-Everyone needs a beer and the group needs a bottle of liquor.
-Everyone takes a shot before the round starts.

Rules:

-Drink whenever you’re dead. 5 seconds is enough time to take a swig, and the suicide penalty (best with rocket launchers) gives you plenty of time to chug.
-Whoever wins the round finishes their beer.

Alex says, “Playing to 25 kills should allow everyone to finish about 2-3 beers per round assuming everyone is pretty equally skilled. If you’re not going through that much beer, you’re not doing it right.”  Thanks for the game!
