Mudkip (Pokemon Shot)

Ingredients:

1/2 ounce Peach Schnapps (Peachtree)
1 ounce Blue Curacao (Dekuyper)
3/8 ounce Caramel Liquor (Southern Comfort)

Directions:  Pour the Blue Curacao into a double shot glass and then, using a bar spoon, layer the Peach Schnapps and Caramel Liquor on top in that order.

The origin of this drink is unknown.  I have searched the internet high and low for the actual creator, but I just can’t seem to find who made it first.  The earliest mention of it that I can find is from the 4chan archives in 2007.  If you are the creator of this drink (first of all, great job, this is awesome), please contact me with proof and I will give you the credit you deserve.  Photography by jedifreac.

Pokemon Drinking Game

So I haven’t made a Pokemon drinking game yet, nor have I received a submission.  This must be corrected now.  Grab a six pack of your favorite beer, a buddy, and a Nintendo DS (or old school Gameboy and link cable).  Bring your best six to the ring and get ready!

Six beers in a six pack and six pokemon in a full team.  Coincidence?  I think not.

Rules:
-One of your pokemon faints = 3 sips
-Your pokemon is inflicted with a status ailment or is affected by the status ailment (burn, paralysis, etc) = 1 sip 
-Your pokemon gets hit by a move that’s “super effective” = 2 sips
-Your pokemon gets killed by a move that is “not very effective…” = 5 sips
-Your pokemon attacks the opponent with a move thats “not very effective” but doesn’t knock them out = 5 sips 
-You lose the battle = Finish the beer you’re currently on.

Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Venusaur (Pokemon Shot and Cocktails)

Ingredients:
Bulbasaur-
1/2 shot lime vodka
1/4 shot lime juice
1/4 shot melon liqueur 

Ivysaur-
1 shot lime vodka
1 shot lime juice
1 shot melon liqueur
1 shot sprite

Venusaur-
1 Bulbasaur
1 Ivysaur
1 shot lime vodka
1 shot lime juice
1 shot sprite 

Directions:  For the Bulbasaur shot, simply mix all three ingredients into a shot glass.  For the Ivysaur cocktail, shake all alcoholic ingredients, pour over ice in a rocks glass, then add Sprite to fill.  Add a stem of mint as a garnish.  Finally, to evolve to the Venusaur cocktail, shake a Bulbasaur shot together with the alcoholic ingredients of an Ivysaur cocktail, along with an additional shot of lime vodka and lime juice, then pour into a highball glass and fill with Sprite.  Again, add a few leaves of mint as a garnish.
