The Drunken Moogle

Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro mocktail)

Ingredients:
6 Mint leaves
1 oz Lime juice
1 oz Grapefruit juice
.5 oz Simple syrup
~2-3 oz Non-alcoholic Ginger Beer

My Neighbor Totoro may have been the first anime I ever saw. I watched it in 3rd Grade, back when I didn’t even know what anime was! Since then I have become a huge fan of Hayao Miyazaki, with my favorite movie of his being Princess Mononoke. I wanted to pay tribute to the director by making a mocktail inspired by one of his more famous characters. What’s your favorite Miyazaki movie? Chat with me about it in the comments of the video below. Make sure to subscribe to the Geek & Sundry Vlogs channel to get updates on geeky cocktails and subjects daily!

"To-to-ro? You’re Totoro!… I bet you’re Totoro…"

Articuno (Pokemon cocktail)
Ingredients:2 oz Hpnotiq.75 oz Gin.25 oz Lime JuiceClub soda to fill
This episode on my Geek & Sundry vlog, Critical Hit Cocktails, I decided to make a drink after one of my favorite ice Pokemon, Articuno! The Articuno cocktail is cool, flavorful, and smooth. While chilling the drink with Ice Beam is preferable, but shaking over ice and pouring over a big ol’ ice cube will work as well.
Check out how to make it in the video:

Sonic Screwdriver (Doctor Who mocktail)
Ingredients:3 oz Orange juice1.5 oz Rose’s Blue Raspberry Mix.5 oz Lime juice3 oz Ginger ale
Directions: Mix all ingredients in a highball glass over ice and stir. Yell “Geronimo!” and serve. It doesn’t do wood.
Doctor Who returns to TV next weekend with the 50th Anniversary special! It’s incredible to think about how a show could stick around and adapt as long as it has. As a giant Whovian, I had to create a drink to celebrate. There are many sonic screwdriver cocktails on the net already and I thought it might be time to create something that everyone enjoyed. Make sure to check out the rest of the Geek & Sundry Vlogs this week for other Doctor Who related content and if you like geeky cocktails (which I know you do) subscribe so that you can see more episodes of Critical Hit Cocktails with Mitch Hutts.
