The Drunken Moogle

Emergency Protocol 417 (Doctor Who cocktail)

Ingredients:
2 parts Gin
2 parts Vodka
1/2 part Dry vermouth
1 Lemon twist

Capt. Jack Harkness is the kind of guy that can enjoy a good, strong drink. We’ve post this recipe, created by Eddie Strickland, before, but it was just so elegant an pretty that I wanted to record it. A special thanks to Cristina Visue, who filmed and edited this beautiful video!

Capt Jack Harkness - Emergency Protocol 417 (Doctor Who cocktail)
Ingredients:2 parts Gin2 parts Vodka1/2 part Dry vermouth1 Lemon twist
DIrections: Stir gin to chill and strain into a martini glass. With fresh ice, shake vodka and vermouth vigorously. Strain into same glass as gin. Take a lemon twist, rim the glass, and garnish. Sip and muse on the impossible.
A note from the creator:

At the end of the episode “The Doctor Dances” Captain Jack has his ships’ computer make him a drink. It appears to be a martini so I based this drink on a combination of a gin and a vodka martini. I feel this cocktail represents our suave captain in his purest essence. Jack Harkness is a classy man. He knows the value of quality and of simplicity, and everything he does is done with an air of elegance. A martini is exactly like that. It is simplicity, quality, and elegance in liquid form. This cocktail is all about the ingredients. I do not suggest making this with the cheapest spirits out there. I suggest mid-shelf quality. I used Absolut Vodka and Bombay Sapphire Gin (Gordon’s Gin is also good if you are on a budget). But don’t let this scare you away. It truly is a wonderful experience that you will not forget.

A note from the creators:

First up the Gallifrey Double Sunrise! A sweet and tart cocktail with a cherry kick to it that rounds it out very nicely.

Second up Regeneration Energy! Sometimes you just need to sit back, recover and regain yourself. What better way to do that then with time lord energy? this has a very sweet and understated taste that will give you the energy to keep on going through waves of daleks.
