Doctor Who returns to TV next weekend with the 50th Anniversary special! It’s incredible to think about how a show could stick around and adapt as long as it has. As a giant Whovian, I had to create a drink to celebrate. There are many sonic screwdriver cocktails on the net already and I thought it might be time to create something that everyone enjoyed. Make sure to check out the rest of the Geek & Sundry Vlogs this week for other Doctor Who related content and if you like geeky cocktails (which I know you do) subscribe so that you can see more episodes of Critical Hit Cocktails with Mitch Hutts. Also, make sure to check out the link in the video comments for your chance to win some Doctor Who swag in a DW contest run by Geek & Sundry! Cheers!

Mogtoberfest 2013 Has Begun!
Today The Drunken Moogle turns 4 years old! I feel like a broken record writing this all the time, but it’s been an amazing experience building the site from a little personal blog listing drinks that I would one day like to try to what it is today. I’ve been able to meet tons of people, online and off, and it’s all because of you all. It makes me extremely happy to see the geeky beverage community grow over the past few years. Geeky bars are popping up at an amazing rate all over the world, fans and game companies are creating more and more products that I would be happy to include in my own home bar, and so many people are combining their passions and making themed cocktails that they can share with friends and fandoms. This week long event isn’t just a celebration for TDM, but for everyone.
A little preview of of what you expect during the next week.
- Daily giveaways
- Incredible cocktails by TDM and some of the internet’s most creative geeky mixologists
- Geeky Drink art by some incredibly talented artists
- Fabulous custom glassware and a week long sale from multiple artists
- A livestream hangout with The Drunken Moogle and friends
- Lots of content EVERY DAY!
Thanks to Daniel Yuto Melcher for creating the image for this week’s banner (seen above).

Upcoming games GALAK-Z by 17-Bit and Synchroma by CAPY will be playable.
Though the event takes place during PAX week, it is not an official PAX event and doesn’t require a badge to get in. More info and reservations at the link below.
