Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth Wine

Lawyer/adventure game series Phoenix Wright, known as Gyakuten Saiban in Japan, is 10 years old! To celebrate a decade of solving crimes while dabbling in paranormal activities, Capcom has released a limited edition wine package.  Included are two bottles of wine, one white and one red, representing Phoenix and Edgeworth. “Genius Red” is the name of Edgeworth’s, while “Heat White” is the name of Pheonix’s white wine.  The package also includes a wine glass with an etching of the Blue Badger, the mascot of the police force in the games. 

Unfortunately, the wine is only available in Japan.  If you’re lucky enough to live there, you can buy it for 4,725 yen.

Wolfenstein Glühwein

Ingredients:

• 3/4 cup water
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 orange
• 10 whole cloves
• 1 (750 ml) bottle red wine

Directions:

1. In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer.
2. Cut the orange in half and squeeze the juice into the simmering water. Push the cloves into the outside of the orange peel and place peel in the simmering water. Continue simmering for 30 minutes until thick and syrupy.
3. Pour in the wine and heat until steaming but not simmering. Remove the clove-studded orange halves.
4. Serve hot in mugs or glasses.
