The Drunken Moogle Presents: Critical Hit Cocktails - Pilot Episode
For quite some time, people have been asking for video content demonstrating how to make some of the drinks we post. Recently I’ve been presented with an opportunity to do just that. Network Geek & Sundry is holding a competition to select a few new vlogs for their YouTube channel. Critical Hit Cocktails will be a side project, in addition to The Drunken Moogle, for video content. Every episode, I will create a new geek themed drink, show you how to make it, and hopefully teach you a few bar tending tips and tricks along the way.
You should vote for two reasons. If the series gets picked up by Geek & Sundry, it would allow me to create videos of a higher quality, as well as just being a great opportunity to work with other passionate geeks. While the G&S staff will be the deciding factor in which vlogs get chosen, community feedback is important.
A second video will be coming shortly. What drinks would you like to see me make? Or would you like to see me create a new drink based on a nerdy reference? Let me know in the comments of the YouTube video or in a reblog on Tumblr. In the future, videos will be posted directly on The Drunken Moogle, as well as on the YouTube channel.
In addition to The Drunken Moogle, two other gaming Tumblrs have submitted videos to the contest!
Kaitlin “Pwnlove” Stewart is on a quest to wear different video game inspired clothing and assessors for every day of the year. In her first video she shows how to include Triforces in your outfits.
Amanda McGinnis from Console to Closet's series will focus on creating outfits inspired by characters in video games. In her first video, she shows how to create an outfit based on Bioshock Infinite's Elizabeth.
Both these blogs excite me as they’re showing how to take your passion for gaming and relate it your everyday life. You can vote for everyone once a day. Thank you for your support and I hope you enjoy the videos!
