Gregg O’Donnell Plays Wind Scene (from Chrono Trigger) on Beer Bottles
One of the things I appreciate most about Chrono Trigger is the music. I also appreciate a good beer. In this video, Gregg O’Donnell plays Wind Scene (600 AD) using beer and Coke bottles resulting in one of the more creative covers I’ve heard.

8 Purification Sake (Okami Cocktail)
Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Sake
1.5 oz. Soju
1.5 oz. Extra dry ginger ale/ginger beer
Directions: Mix Sake and Soju and pour into cocktail glass, top with ginger ale.
“Glittering gold sake… Is that 8 Purification Sake, Ammy?!”
Note: Soju(aka Shochu) is a distilled alcohol commonly made from rice, barley, or sweet potatoes. Typically containing 25% alcohol by volume, it’s weaker than vodka but stronger that sake. Ginger beer is simply a stronger version of ginger ale, it’s usually described as having more bite.

Scumm Bar’s Finest Grog (The Secret of Monkey Island Cocktail)
Ingredients:
6 Light Wheat beers (I used Bud Light Wheat)
3 oz. dark rum (preferably Kraken Rum)
3 oz. white rum
1 oz. lime juice
Directions: Grog is meant to be served to a group of pirates, so get some friends for this one. Pour the six pack into a large enough pot or other container that can hold it. Add in the 6 oz. of rum and the lime juice. Stir all ingredients. Use a small serving cup to distribute ye grog.
Note: Grog was traditionally rum that was diluted with water or a weak beer, served hot or cold. It wasn’t the tastiest substance, so often ingredients such as sugar, cinnamon, or lime juice were added. While the grog that Guybrush encountered in The Secret of Monkey Island was a bit more deadly, this grog is sure to not melt through your mug. It will give you the kick a drink made for a pirate should, though.
“To be a pirate, ye must also be a foul-smelling, grog-swilling pig.”

New Super Mario Bros. Wii Drinking Game
One of the first thoughts that ran through my head when trying New Super Mario Bros. Wii was “this is Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles.” No, I’m not saying that Nintendo ripped off Square Enix. I’m saying that this game has the potential to undo friendships. If I had a dollar for every time someone bounced off my head and sent me plummeting to my doom down a hole, I would be a rich man. Now, if I had a sip of beer for every time someone did that… well, you get the picture. And that is how the NSMB Drinking Game came to be.
Rules:
Play with beer or a substance of similar potency.
Player loses a life = 1 sip
Player uses a continue = 2 sips
Player is responsible for the death of a teammate = 2 sips
Player is left in a bubble when everyone else dies or the level is finished = 3 sips
Player is the one who loses the mushroom house matching game for everyone = 3 sips
